This Privacy Policy explains how TagsBuddy Pro (“TagsBuddy”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use our website, web application and Android app (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

TagsBuddy Pro is an AI-powered YouTube growth toolkit that helps creators generate tags, optimize titles and descriptions, research keywords, track competitors and chat with an AI channel coach. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at androdeveloper24@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account & authentication

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier. We use OAuth and never see or store your Google password.

YouTube channel data

With your permission, we access data from your connected YouTube account through the YouTube Data API, including your channel details, video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails), and aggregate performance statistics. We use this to power scoring, recommendations and the AI coach, and — only when you explicitly choose to — to write updated titles, descriptions or tags back to YouTube.

Content you provide

We collect prompts, messages and other content you submit to AI features, as well as keywords and competitor channels you choose to track.

Usage & device data

We automatically collect basic technical information such as your device type, browser, IP address, and how you interact with the Service, in order to operate, secure and improve it.

3. Storage of and access to information on your device (cookies, local storage and similar technologies)

TagsBuddy Pro stores information on, and accesses and collects information from, your device or browser, and allows a third party (Google) to do the same. We use browser local storage, application caches, on-device application storage, cookies and similar technologies. We do not use these technologies for advertising, ad targeting or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell the information they hold.

What the web app stores on your device

• Local storage — your session. A tagsbuddy-auth entry holding your TagsBuddy access token and its expiry, basic profile details (name, email, profile picture), your currently selected YouTube channel, and whether you have finished onboarding. This keeps you signed in between visits; we read it on every page load to authenticate your requests.
• Cache storage — offline support. A service worker stores our own static files and an offline page so the app still loads on a poor connection. It does not cache API responses or your YouTube data.
• Analytics identifiers. Google Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4) sets and reads cookies and/or local storage entries containing a randomly generated identifier, so we can measure feature usage and improve the Service.

What the mobile apps store on your device

• Secure app preferences. Your TagsBuddy access token and its expiry, your user id and email address.
• App settings and state. Interface preferences, your chosen language, onboarding completion and whether we have already shown you a rating prompt.
• A local database and image cache. An on-device database file and cached images (including YouTube channel and video thumbnails) so screens load quickly and work offline.
• Analytics identifiers. The Google Firebase Analytics SDK stores a randomly generated app-instance identifier on the device.

Third parties acting on your device

Google acts as a third party on your device when you use the Service: Google Sign-In and the Google/YouTube authorization flows may set and read cookies or similar identifiers in your browser or on your device to complete sign-in and keep it secure, and Firebase Analytics stores the identifiers described above. Google's handling of that information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. We do not allow any other third party to store or read information on your device through the Service.

Your choices

Signing out of TagsBuddy clears the stored session on that device. You can additionally clear or block this information at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and site data (or blocking cookies in your browser settings), or, on mobile, by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Blocking or clearing this information will sign you out and may stop parts of the Service from working. You can separately revoke our access to your Google and YouTube data as described in section 5.

4. How we use your information

• To provide, maintain and improve the Service's features.
• To generate AI tags, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, keyword research and competitor analysis.
• To apply changes to your YouTube content when you explicitly request it.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To respond to support requests and communicate with you.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

5. Google & YouTube API Services

TagsBuddy Pro's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The Service uses YouTube API Services, and by using it you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

You can revoke TagsBuddy Pro's access to your Google and YouTube data at any time through your Google security settings. We do not use YouTube data for advertising, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the Service or as required by law.

6. AI processing

Some features send your content and channel data to third-party AI providers to generate results. These providers process the data only to return results to you and are contractually restricted from using it to train their models or for unrelated purposes.

TagsBuddy Pro does not use Google user data, including data obtained through YouTube API Services, to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. This applies to raw, aggregated, anonymized, and derived data. Google user data is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features you request.

7. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

• With service providers (hosting, analytics, AI processing) who act on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• With YouTube/Google, to perform actions you request.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users or others.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you.

8. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting androdeveloper24@gmail.com. We will delete cached YouTube data when you disconnect your channel or close your account, except where retention is required by law. Information held on your device, as described in section 3, is removed when you sign out, clear your browser or app storage, or uninstall the app.

9. Data security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at androdeveloper24@gmail.com.

11. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12. International users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws. We take steps to ensure your data is treated consistently with this policy wherever it is processed.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
